    T-mobile is a renowned company offering GSM technology. There are various plans offered by T-mobile so that you can chose which ever suits you the best. The latest plan by T-Mobile includes 850MHZ roaming. Through 850MHZ roaming, T-Mobile postpaid customers can access roaming service in the areas where it was not possible before. Moreover, you can also use GPRS in most of the domestic area where roaming coverage can be accessed. At the moment, this plan is not available for T-Mobile to Go plan users.

    Cingular Wireless is a well known and probably the largest cellular phone company in the US. Having more than 56 million users world wide, it offers the largest data network and digital voice. It has its headquarters in Georgia, United States and Atlanta. The main feature of their GSM service is the provision of GPRS and EDGE.

    AT&T, according to their revenues is considered the second largest mobile phone service providers in the US. Mmode is a wireless web service which was introduced by AT&T Wireless in 2002. Through Mmode you can get daily news, weather reports, traffic, games, and reference material yellow and white page directories. It works by the help of WAP/WML (wireless HTML protocols) which are used to deliver encoded or abbreviated web pages to the color displays of Mmode phones.

    Yes, these phones can be unlocked. It is also dependant upon the situation. For instance if you need your phone to be unlocked because you are traveling and you don't want to pay higher roaming rates the provider will unlock your phone.
